LEPC (Local Emergency Planning Committee) is a group of volunteer Township citizens that plan for Emergencies (gas leaks, fire, wind storms, tornado’s, highway closings, etc…) within the Township.  We meet as needed throughout the year to verify that the list of contact personnel is up to date, radio communications is functioning by running a Township area wide test, assign volunteers to Township quadrants, verify the assigned Town assistance kits are ready, prepare and test the building generator, discuss options for disaster such as another building location, occasional training of emergency response, work with Rusk County Emergency Management for preparedness and review those Town Citizens with special needs, plus more.

Please contact the Town if you would be willing to join LEPC and assist with emergencies!  LEPC is also looking for people with special skills that could be valuable during emergency incidents.
